About The Lightkeeper's Cottage

Stanley A. Hiller built the cottage in 1968. He was a proud United States Coast Guards Man who was at one time, stationed on Matinicus Rock. During his stay on the Island he decided this is where he wanted to spend his summers. Pointing to the east, allows for the most amazing sunrises, and overlooking the ocean dramatically adds to the effect.
